Part of a £4.2m contract awarded to CCI across both of Gatwick's terminals, the South Terminal International Departure Lounge refresh was a project we're truly proud to have been a part of. Completed in September 2025, our team took the RIBA 3 concept design and turned it into a fully realised, integrated environment — bringing in beautiful timber panelling, feature planting, and media screens to give the space a fresh, modern feel that passengers actually enjoy spending time in.

At the heart of our work was a brand new orientation zone, designed to help travellers find their way through the terminal with confidence and ease. Alongside improved signage and wayfinding, we created expanded seating areas, greener spaces drawing inspiration from the surrounding West Sussex countryside, and an upgraded assisted travel lounge with sustainable lighting throughout. The project was delivered using locally sourced labour, reflecting our commitment to the communities we work in.
